Старинные дома тут фахверкового типа, местный трамвай ходит до Германии и обратно, и даже главный символ города – местный Нотр-Дам – строили немецкие архитекторы. Современный Страсбург известен как штаб-квартира Европарламента и Совета Европы, по сути это одна из столиц ЕС наряду с Брюсселем. Давайте посмотрим, что такой политически важный город представляет собой с точки зрения городской среды!
Главный вокзал Страсбурга. В 2007 году, когда через город прошла линия скоростных поездов TGV, его реконструировали, накрыв исторический фасад и часть привокзальной площади таким вот стеклянным куполом.
Добавили лифты, сделали вокзал большим, комфортным и современным.
Изначальное здание построили в XIX веке ещё немцы. А французам удалось увеличить его полезную площадь, при этом не снося и не перестраивая сам вокзал.
Улица, где раньше было множество машин, а теперь ходит трамвай. Автомобилям осталось совсем мало места.
Первая трамвайная сеть в Страсбурге существовала до начала 1960-х годов, когда вагоны были вытеснены с улиц дизельными автобусами. Но спустя 30 лет Страсбург осознал свою ошибку и открыл новую трамвайную систему. Это четвёртая (после Нанта, Гренобля и Парижа) во Франции трамвайная сеть, которая была введена в строй после Второй мировой. В дальнейшем примеру Страсбурга последовали такие города, как Бордо и Лион.
Новая система была открыта в 1994 году. Сейчас она состоит из шести линий, которые постоянно продлеваются. В Страсбурге не только междугородний, но и международный трамвай! Одна из веток соединяет столицу Эльзаса с немецким городом Кель, который стоит на противоположном берегу Рейна. То есть на трамвае можно приехать из Франции в Германию и обратно.
Это вагоны Eurotram, построенные в Италии с 1994 по 2000 годы. Они довольно старые, но при должном уходе трамваи могут служить очень долго. Помимо "Евротрамов" по улицам Страсбурга ходят широко распространённые Alstom Citadis.
Знаменитый Страсбургский собор, который с середины XVII века до 1870-х годов был самым высоким в мире зданием. Строили его в основном немецкие архитекторы. Южная башня собора так и не была достроена. А про северную Фонвизин писал, что "высота её престрашная, она же вся сквозная и дырчатая, так что, кажется, всякую минуту готова развалиться". Но вроде пока стоит!
Спальный район. Даже в спальных районах есть платная парковка. Всё довольно аккуратно, но парковка частично на тротуаре. Это возмутительно, делать так, конечно, нельзя!
Легальная парковка под окном, что не менее возмутительно! Между прочим, эта парковка тоже платная. Поставить машину в таких районах можно максимум на 5 часов.
М-м-м, а что тут нас? Да это же родные многоэтажечки! Да, в небольшом (меньше 300 тысяч жителей) Страсбурге тоже есть панельки, причём довольно много. Тут встречаются 6-этажки, 8-этажки, даже 14- и 16-этажки. Их активно реконструируют: делают одинаковые балконы (обратите внимание, что остекления на них нет), вешают солнечные панели, увеличивая энергоэффективность зданий.
Даже в спальном районе 3/4 ширины улицы отдано трамваю, велосипедистам и пешеходам. Для машин оставили только две полосы.
Нет, это не спальный район Москвы, а древний европейский город! Кстати, обратите внимание, как тут кронируют деревья. Не отрубают всю крону, как у нас, а просто придают ей форму.
Если старые деревья по какой-то причине погибли, на замену сажают новые.
А это новый район. Дома разной высоты, но от многоэтажного строительства тут отказались. Панельные высотки во Франции остались в XX веке.
Архитектура очень спокойная. Во дворе в деревянных клумбах есть мини-огородики для жильцов.
Детская площадка не из пластика и не вырвиглазных цветов – это реальность.
Хотя с цветом в Страсбурге тоже умеют работать.
Этот комплекс портовых зданий был построен недалеко от центра Страсбурга в 1930-е годы. В 2000-м компания L'armement Seegmuller закрылась, и комплекс был заброшен. Но его не стали сносить, а реновировали и устроили в нём медиатеку. В бывшем бюро (справа) теперь офисы и квартиры, а старую силосную башню перестроили в университетское общежитие. Мол, где расположены постройки, соединили пешеходными и велосипедными мостами с другими частями Страсбурга.
Улица в новом деловом районе. Здесь тоже велодорожка и тротуар достаточной ширины.
У нас бы все визжали, что пешеходам выделено слишком много пространства.
Вот так должна выглядеть уличная веранда. Необязательно ставить огромные платформы на весь тротуар. Правда, без жлобства тут не обошлось: владелец ресторана решил, что нормально перегородить тротуар своим меню.
Центр города и рождественские декорации.
Страсбург – одна из рождественских столиц Европы. Считается, что именно тут в 1570 году прошла первая во Франции рождественская ярмарка. На самом деле ярмарка не одна, их несколько на разных площадях. К праздникам владельцы заведений в центре украшают свои здания кто во что горазд.
На площади перед собором продают имбирные пряники.
Так выглядит центральная ярмарка. Базар называется страшным словом Кришткиндельсмерик, что в переводе с эльзасского диалекта означает "ярмарка Младенца Христа".
Рождественские украшения. Улицы в историческом центре, естественно, пешеходные.
Это квартал Маленькая Франция, который стоит на острове посреди реки Иль. Раньше тут жили кожевники, рыбаки, палачи и проститутки.
Чей-то личный причал. Мило?
Район получил название "Маленькая Франция", по всей видимости, от заведения для больных сифилисом, построенного тут ещё в XVII веке.
Эти мощные башни – часть оборонительного комплекса Пон-Кувер (Крытые мосты).
Мосты, построенные тут в XIII веке, на самом деле уже два с половиной столетия не крытые. Но название как-то прижилось.
Теперь это как бы речные ворота в историческую часть Страсбурга.
Красота?
Так как Эльзас постоянно был предметом споров между французами и немцами, Страсбург испытал сильное влияние немецкой архитектуры – начиная с собора и заканчивая фахверковыми домами.
В метель ярко светят жёлтые звёзды – это тоже часть рождественского убранства.
